Youth Matters Feature

Do you know a special young person? One who has made a positive contribution to their community? Who have a talent or ability that the community should know about?

Get them some recognition and nominate them for our Youth Matters Feature for Youth Week 2008!

To celebrate National Youth Week 2008, Bellingen and Seaboard Youth Services in conjunction with the Bellingen Shire Courier Sun are working on a feature that will highlight the positive contribution made by young people to our community.

We would like to invite groups, services, workplaces and individuals to nominate young people between the ages of 12 and 24 who live in the Bellingen Shire.

Young people can be nominated for a variety of reasons including their participation in a community or sporting group, having a particular talent, displaying high levels of commitment and enthusiasm or for positive qualities such as being caring and compassionate.

The young people who are nominated will be profiled for this feature.  They will be asked a range of questions which will draw attention to their ideas and the issues which concern them.

The feature will serve to increase community awareness of these issues and identify ways the community can better support our local young people.

Young people can be nominated by completing a nomination form available from the BSYS office, Council Grounds, or downloaded below.  Completed nomination forms can be returned to BSYS or emailed to bsys@bnc.org.au.
